FAQs

Who is eligible?

First-time homebuyers who have not owned a principal residence in the last three years and have lived in Utah for at least one year prior to closing may apply.  

What is the Interest Rate?

The loan is a 0% Interest loan and requires no monthly payment.

Do I have to pay back the loan?

When the recipient sells or refinance their home, they will pay back the loan amount or a portion thereof to the Utah Housing Corporation

What can the money be used for?

The program offers a loan of up to $20,000, which can be used for down payment, closing costs, or interest rate buydowns.
